WordPress

Creating a website you can manage is very important to me. Yes, of course I provide an updates and maintenance service, but giving you the power to create new content can turn your website from good to great. Keeping an updated blog or calendar lets your customers know you are engaged and knowledgeable about your field (admittedly, I do not maintain a blog right now). Additionally, you won’t have to wait for me to make minor edits when you want to publish a new post or event.

Enter WordPress.

WordPress is a content management system that allows you to enter web copy in the same manner as using Microsoft Word. With it’s new editor Gutenberg, or my preferred tool ACF’s Flexible Content, everything is drag and drop and feature-rich. If there is a feature you need that you can’t find, I can build a tailored solution to provide tools like Mailchimp signup forms, Salesforce integration or dynamic content from other third parties. Behind the scenes, using WordPress can be very simple for the client, which makes keeping your website updated that much easier. It also allows you to update add-ons and plugins, keeping your website secure.

How your website displays (the front-end) can have flexible solutions. While WordPress can be used for both front and back end, we can also isolate the data and use it with other platforms or apps. This means you can continue using the data management aspect of WordPress even if you decide to maintain both a website and an app. Confused by that statement? That’s ok, this is why you hire developers.

Ultimately, and most importantly, WordPress provides a simple platform for you to manage your content, in an environment you can teach your employees in a matter or minutes. Leave the rest up to me.

Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Online learning has become a large part of the web, especially in a post-pandemic world. Giving your users a simple and effective way to learn will help you gain and retain your customers.

While there are countless options for learning management systems, I prefer Learndash. I do have expertise in Woo Sensei and Memberpress as well, but learndash seems to be the most flexible and powerful solution for most of my clients. Though of out the box these plugins provide an excellent opportunity for you to build your courseware, we all know that no solution is one size fits all. In addition to theming, I can provide custom add-ons and integrations to get your LMS performing at a top tier for your users.

Nonprofit / Not for Profit

While not every project is applicable, I do find time to contribute to projects I find worthwhile or underfunded. If it seems to be a good fit, we can discuss pro-bono or discounted rates for some projects.

Fragment Web Works

Fragment Web Works was started as a way to focus more on plugin development and backend functionality. It focuses entirely on custom development, rather than maintaining WordPress installations. If you have a plugin idea you would like to explore, I invite you to get in touch, I’d love to hear your ideas!
